Setting New Year Goals
As the New Year dawns upon us, so does the possibility of the new you. It is an unavoidable hope that the New Year will bring a clean slate for us to write our lives the way we want it to be. It is a beautiful belief to hold that we will regenerate and rebuild as the year starts again. So, we inevitably set standards for ourselves to meet, a version of ourselves that becomes our new inspiration. We try and try again each year but often we find ourselves falling short of the person we set out to become with full conviction on New Year’s Eve.

2017, WOW!! you had me movin' and a shakin'. Some days feeling completely unbalanced other days blessed with love and gratitude.
As the year comes to an end and I look back on all of the amazing mild stones the year presented. For me it was the birth of our first grandchild in Alaska, to the marriage of our oldest daughter in Chelsea.
We also experienced death and sorrows.
It is hard to maintain a positive attitude, healthy food choices along with a measure of faith. Raw emotions are challenging to say the least, but life has taught me through times of constriction we benefit because difficulty helps us to grow.
It has been a solid year that I have been Health Coaching and my clients have taught me so much. The biggest challenge for me was teaching how to bridge together food and thoughts. We are emotional beings, we enjoy food. I was my biggest guinea pig.
My observation is that we as Americans celebrate everything with food...
Do you feel overwhelmed when you shop for Protein Powders? Here’s a few things to keep in mind when shopping for one. 🌱Don’t fall into the fancy marketing scam, that sucks you down the rabbit hole, meaning franken food(not real food)ingredients. 🌱Hidden sugars 🌱Know your product, read reviews, recognize that words like natural don’t mean organic! 🌱If you can’t pronounce it, it is probably synthetic. 🌱Shop for organic. 🌱Lok for the non GMO label.(The certified blue butterfly is the label to look for.) 🌱If buying a flavored protein powder, think of the recipes you will be using. Will that particular flavor hinder the taste. 🌱Look for the amount if protein per serving.
